가톨릭대학교 성빈센트병원 권재열 전공의(신경외과 4년차)가 제8차 아시아-오세아니아 정위기능학회에서 우수발표상(Best Presentation Award)을 수상했다. 이번에 발표한 논문은 ‘Simultaneous trial of deep brain stimulation and motor cortex stimulation for chronic intractable neuropathic pain’으로 약물로 조절되지 않는 만성 난치성 통증(chronic intractable pain)에 시행할 수 있는 뇌심부자극술과 뇌운동피질자극술(deep brain stimulation and motor cortex stimulation)의 증례를 비교 분석해 현 시점에서 더 효과적인 방법을 제시했다.
