김소영 순천향대학교 천안병원 안과 교수가 세계 3대 인명사전 중 하나인 ‘마르퀴즈 후즈 후(Marquis Who’s Who in the world) 2015년판’에 사시치료분야의 전문가로 이름을 올렸다.
SCI 학술지에 매년 우수 논문을 발표해오고 있는 김 교수는 이미 세계 안과 의사들에게는 잘 알려진 전문가다. 김 교수가 지금까지 발표한 SCI 논문은 40여편에 이르며, 특히 주전공인 소아사시수술과 관련한 연구 성과들이 많다.
김 교수는 최근에도 미국 소아안과 및 사시학회지(Journal of AAPOS)에 사시수술과 관련 ‘Changes in refractive error and anterior segment parameters after isolated lateral rectus muscle recession(2014)’과 ‘Clinical characteristics of patients that experience different rates of exodrift after strabismus surgery for intermittent exotropia and the effect of the rate of exodrift on final ocular alignment(2013)’ 등 두 편의 논문을 연이어 발표해 큰 주목을 받았다.
김 교수는 또 SCI 학술지 Ophthalmic Surgery Lasers & Imaging Reina 2014에도 논문 ‘A rare pattern of 360° radiating choroidal folds associated with an orbital abscess’로 표지를 장식하기도 했다.
